Senator Magnus Abe, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the last general election, has alleged that Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, was stoned at the Rivers State airport in 2015 by the same individuals who attended a dinner party organised for him.
Abe made the statement via social media, where he claimed that high-level violence had been unleashed on Rivers people. He insisted that Tinubu knows the extent of the violence being inflicted on the state’s people and was himself a victim when he was stoned at Port Harcourt airport in 2015.
Abe also accused Nyesom Wike’s government of spending more than N1 trillion on live television coverage across all major television networks, claiming it was one of the reasons a party led by a man who was neither a governor nor a sitting Senator could gain the support and goodwill of Rivers people within three months.

Abe’s statement, entitled “How Times Change”, further alleged that Tinubu knew he was not a liar and did not collect money from him or anyone else and put it in his pocket.
He stated that although he had prepared a lengthy statement in response to the diatribe against him at the state dinner, he had decided to hold his peace out of respect for Tinubu, who was still in Rivers State. Abe concluded by withdrawing his petition at the election tribunal and urged everyone to allow peace to reign.
