NNPP chieftain Buba Galadima accuses Lai Mohammed of reaping where he didn’t sow

Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party and former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, has criticized the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, over his recent comments regarding opposition parties.

In response to the minister’s statement that opposition parties should stop complaining about the 2023 presidential election and accept defeat, Galadima accused Mohammed of being appointed to reap where he did not sow.

He went on to say that Mohammed has no understanding of the feelings or conditions of Nigerians and that he was allowed to say what he wants because he brought himself into office.

Galadima made the remarks while appearing on an Arise Television programme. He challenged the minister to put his scorecard on the table after serving as a minister for eight years.

In his earlier statement, Mohammed had claimed that both Peter Obi of the Labour Party and his Peoples Democratic Party counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, lost the election due to overconfidence and complacency.

However, Galadima disagreed with the minister’s assessment, stating that Mohammed does not know the conditions of Nigerians and is therefore not qualified to speak on their behalf.
