The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized 126 parcels of Canadian Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis at Tincan port in Lagos. The drugs, weighing 63kg, were found hidden in a used Toyota Corolla car imported from Canada. The car was among five vehicles in a container marked TLLU 4840762.
In another incident, the NDLEA thwarted an attempt to export 900 grams of Loud to Kenya. The drugs were found hidden in the sides of a travelling bag containing food items.
The agency’s Directorate of Operations and Investigation also intercepted 1.53kg of skunk in old hard drives meant for export to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. NDLEA has vowed to rid Nigeria of the drug menace and is intensifying efforts to counter smuggling attempts.
