Lagoon hospital appoints Flutterwave CEO Agboola and Fola as directors

Lagoon Hospital, a private healthcare service provider in Nigeria, has announced the appointment of Olugbenga Agboola, the CEO and co-founder of Flutterwave, and Fola Laoye as directors. The hospital expressed enthusiasm about Agboola’s appointment to the board, which coincided with the launch of a multi-specialist facility and a cardiology and cardiac health management center in Lagos.

The new facility is designed to provide advanced medical care to people who seek it from clinical and surgical super-specialists. It will offer interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, and laparoscopic services, providing both Nigerians and the international community with faster access to specialized services.

The need for improved specialist services in Nigeria’s healthcare sector prompted the launch of the center. The acquisition of the hospital by Iwosan Investments Limited from Hygeia Group was made possible by a pool of investments from diverse local and foreign investors.

During the occasion, Agboola and other directors were received by the Managing Director of Iwosan Hospitals Victoria Island and the Group Head of Operations at Iwosan Investments.
