Muhammad Sanusi II sustainable development goals initiative offers $10,000 grant for teachers

Muhammad Sanusi II Sustainable Development Goals Initiative has announced a $10,000 grant for teachers in sub-Saharan Africa, and has called for submissions for the 2023 MSII SDG Challenge. The competition is open to practicing teachers based anywhere in sub-Saharan Africa and provides exclusive access to mentoring, training, and networking opportunities.

The goal is to enable teachers to develop scalable education projects and support innovative community projects focused on quality education and gender equality.

According to a statement by the organization, the MSII SDG Challenge is open to teachers who believe that education is the key to innovation and who are passionate about developing solutions that improve the African education system.

Selected teachers will receive an initial grant of $2,000 for their projects and will go through a comprehensive incubation program. They will also be considered for a follow-up grant of up to $10,000 and an accelerator opportunity.
