The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has rejected President Muhammadu Buhari’s plea for forgiveness, stating that his sins are unforgivable. This was in response to Buhari’s request for Nigerians to forgive him during the Sallah festival, where he also announced plans to relocate to Niger Republic.
In a statement, IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, expressed surprise that Buhari was asking for forgiveness, given his alleged role in the killing of IPOB members, ethnic cleansing, destabilizing the country, and other crimes. Powerful emphasized that Buhari’s relocation to Niger Republic would not absolve him of his crimes.
It was stated the sins that Buhari has masterminded and implemented are unforgivable, and IPOB does not care if he relocates to Mars or Jupiter.
The statement also accused Buhari of aiding terrorists, promoting Fulani ethnic interests, looting the national treasury, and deceiving the public. Powerful concluded that Buhari’s crimes would catch up with him, regardless of his relocation.
