Youths bury two men alive in Benue after lightning strike

Two individuals accused of causing a thunder strike in the Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State were buried alive by angry youths, according to reports. The incident happened on Saturday when a couple and their two-week-old baby were killed in a lightning strike in the community of Ikyve.

Enraged youths from the area reportedly apprehended the father of the alleged thunder victim, Henry Ihwakaa, and another elderly man, believed to be his collaborator.

They were buried alive in a shallow grave, and their bodies were exhumed when the police arrived at the scene. The state police command has confirmed the incident and said that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the development.

The police cautioned the public against taking the law into their own hands and urged them to report any disagreement to the authorities for appropriate action.
