Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has praised the Chairman of Airpeace, Chief Allen Onyema, for his kind gesture towards stranded Nigerians in Sudan. Obi expressed his gratitude in a statement issued by his media team on Tuesday, thanking Chief Onyema for his patriotism, selflessness and efforts in promoting national interest and cohesion.
He commended Chief Onyema’s act of altruism in helping to airlift distressed and stranded Nigerians from war-torn Sudan, and described it as an instructive lesson to Nigerians on acts of nation-building by patriotic citizens, who come in different strands.

He emphasized the importance of being each other’s keeper irrespective of tribe and religion, which he said was essential for the country’s greater unity. He called on those who can make meaningful contributions to do so selflessly, stating that the various noble gestures of Chief Onyema would serve as an inspiration to others.
Obi concluded by thanking Chief Onyema for his consistent efforts in promoting national interest and cohesion, saying that he is an exemplary Nigerian who has shown that acts of selflessness are crucial for the development of the country.
