The Nigerian Correctional Service in Yobe State has denied claims that inmates have been engaging in reckless sexual activities due to the lack of electricity in correctional centres for weeks.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC Haruna Isa, issued a statement on Monday stating that the report is false, unpatriotic, and malicious, and aimed at disrupting the peace and order in custodial facilities.

He added that there is no sexual activity taking place in any of the correctional formations under the Command and that the false report is intended to deceive the public.
