A 21-year-old vulcanizer identified as Timothy Sonyegbe, who resides in the Ijofin area, has been arrested by the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So-Safe Corps, for stealing a motorcycle around Abule Teacher in Ipokia Local Government Area.
The suspect had been placed under surveillance after serving a jail term twice for fuel and motorcycle theft, and was seen riding a motorcycle during an odd hour of the night.

He attempted to escape after being stopped by a team of officers on a routine patrol led by CSC Abdulkareem Abdulrazaq, the Idiroko Divisional Officer, but was chased, apprehended, and taken into custody.
Sonyegbe confessed during preliminary interrogation that the stolen motorbike – a Boxer Bajaj with engine number DXWLB46095 – belonged to him, and So-Safe Corps also recovered two phones from him. The suspect has been handed over to the Police Divisional Headquarters in Ipokia.
