The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed that it is unaware of the whereabouts of its suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Adamawa State, Yunusa Hudu Ari, who caused controversy when he declared Aisha Binani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Adamawa supplementary governorship election.
INEC’s spokesman, Festus Okoye, stated that the commission had contacted Ari after his declaration, but he did not respond to calls or show up when asked to report to the commission. Therefore, his current location remains unknown.
