Bauchi State Police arrest two suspects who murdered an Okada rider and stole his bike

Two suspects have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for the brutal murder of a commercial motorcycle rider in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.

According to SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the Command’s spokesperson, the suspects, identified as Hashimu Adamu, aged 22, and Anas Muhammed, aged 23, enticed the victim, Muhammad Tukur, to a village where they fatally stabbed him and stole his motorcycle. The victim’s decomposed body was discovered near a forest in Shinge village, four days after he was reported missing by his younger brother, Ibrahim Umar.

The police disseminated particulars of the missing person to various areas within and beyond Bauchi, and detectives attached to the Command apprehended the suspects, who confessed to the crime during interrogation. The suspects will face prosecution after investigations have been concluded. A Boxer Bajaj motorcycle, which belonged to the victim, was recovered as evidence.
