Rivers cult war spreads, resulting in one person being shot dead

Another cult-related clash occurred in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt, resulting in the death of a young man known as Asari, believed to be a member of a cult group.

Asari was allegedly shot by a group of five armed men who later fled the scene. The incident was reportedly a result of a supremacy war between two suspected factions of cult gangs, ‘D12 and Blackies.’ This comes after the recent clash between two other cult groups, the History and Black Axe Houses, at Elechi beach in Mile 1 Diobu Port Harcourt, which claimed two lives. The shooting caused panic and led to the closure of business activities for the day.

It was reported that members of Asari’s cult gang had taken his corpse away before the arrival of the police. The spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident but stated that she was yet to be briefed officially.
