Dr Nasir Idris, receives certificate of return as Kebbi Governor-elect

The Governor-elect of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, has received his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at a ceremony held at the INEC headquarters in Birnin Kebbi. Alongside him, the Deputy Governor-elect, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, and ten members-elect to the Kebbi State House of Assembly also received their certificates.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barrister Ahmad Bello Muhammad, presented the certificates, and the INEC National Commissioner for Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states, Professor Muhammad Sani Kalla, supervised the ceremony. The INEC officials congratulated the recipients and wished them success in their upcoming roles, while advising the governor-elect to maximize Kebbi’s agricultural potential for optimal benefits.

Dr. Nasir Idris pledged to prioritize agricultural development under his administration, complete ongoing projects started by the incumbent government, and initiate new ones for the prosperity of the people of Kebbi State.

The governor-elect and his deputy then proceeded to the Government House to present their certificates of return to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for acknowledgment, with both expressing gratitude to INEC, security agencies, and others who supported the election process.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu congratulated the governor-elect and other recipients for successfully receiving their certificates of return, while thanking the people of Kebbi State, the Minister of Justice, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and labor leaders for their support.
