Two cheerleaders from Texas were shot in a parking lot after one of them mistakenly entered the wrong car following a practice session, according to authorities. Police were called to the scene at an H-E-B supermarket parking lot, where they found two people in a vehicle who had been hit by bullets. One of the victims was treated and released at the scene, while the other cheerleader was flown by helicopter to a hospital in critical condition.

Pedro Tello Rodriguez Jr., 25, was arrested and charged with deadly conduct after allegedly shooting the two teens. The shooting occurred after the girls had finished practice and went to a carpool lot. Heather Roth, a cheerleader with the Woodlands Elite Cheer Co., said she got out of her friend’s car and opened the door to a car she thought was her own, but a man was inside. The man started shooting when Roth apologized, according to her account.
