Buhari approves N1.535trn for 11 road projects with just 40 days left before the end of his tenure

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Tax Credit Scheme has been granted N1.535 trillion by the Federal Executive Council for the construction and rehabilitation of 11 roads totaling 737.242 kilometers in 11 states, which include Edo, Delta, Kano, Kaduna, Borno, and Adamawa, among others; the project is under phase II, and the roads will soon be completed, according to Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, who added that this development comes barely 40 days to the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term.

Fashola also said that the approved amount is part of the N1.9 trillion investment approved by the council in January for 44 roads that had been awarded, and the balance of those roads that had to go through procurement between then and now are the 11 that have now been approved by the council.
