Trial of Yahaya Bello's nephew for alleged N3 billion fraud adjourned till May 30

The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled May 30 and 31 for the continuation of the trial of Ali Bello, the nephew of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, and three others, who were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for an alleged N3 billion fraud.

During the trial, the prosecution team led by Rotimi Oyedepo called their first witness, Nicholas Oyemomoni, from the American International School in Abuja.

However, the defence team led by Abubakar Aliyu objected to some of the documents that the EFCC sought to tender in evidence through him. The defence counsel prayed the court to allow him to raise the objection in his final written address while provisionally admitting the documents.

The prosecuting counsel objected to this, resulting in the adjournment of the trial until May 30 and 31.
