Senior members of the APC in Kashere Ward, Ammo Local Government of Gombe State, have expelled former governor Danjuma Goje from the party over allegations of anti-party activities, including boycotting campaign activities, supporting opposition parties, and mingling with their candidates to undermine APC’s success in Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole.
This happened despite a court order restraining the party from investigating or taking any disciplinary action against Mr Goje.
The suspension was announced during a press conference by the ward chairman, Tanimu Abdullahi, who said the decision was made based on the recommendations of a panel set up to probe the former governor.

However, a Federal High Court in Abuja had earlier ruled that the party could not investigate Mr Goje without giving him a chance to defend himself. Governor Inuwa Yahaya and Mr Goje are currently locked in a power struggle over control of the party structure in the state, and the APC has been having difficulties managing the situation.
