Nigerian renowned singer, Peter Okoye, formerly of the P-Square music group, has shared his thoughts on the divorce saga involving PSG defender, Achraf Hakimi.
Social media platforms were abuzz with reports of the millionaire footballer’s divorce from his wife, Hiba Abouk, on Friday.
According to sources, Hiba Abouk, who filed for divorce, demanded half of Hakimi’s belongings but was reportedly told that all his properties were acquired in his mother’s name.

In response, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, took to his Twitter handle to express a contrasting opinion, stating that if one doesn’t trust their partner, they shouldn’t get married in the first place. He further suggested that those supporting Hakimi’s decision should marry their mothers instead.
Mr. P wrote, “The truth is bitter but needs to be told. If you don’t trust her, then don’t marry, as simple as that. Or are you expecting your wife to suffer after a divorce? Remember, the one you trusted with all your property in the name of Mother was once your father’s wife. #HakimiDivorce.

“The mother you are clamoring about was/is also somebody’s wife at some point before she became his mother. What if she was treated the same way? Please marry your mother! End of story.
“Make all of you go marry your mothers!…no time! Since Hakimi has sense, make una get sense too.”
