The Igbo Indigenes Without Border, a socio-cultural organization with members worldwide, including China, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, has appealed to President-elect Bola Tinubu to intervene in the case of former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, who was convicted by the United Kingdom Central Criminal Court for organ harvesting.
The organization urged Tinubu and the incoming 10th National Assembly to approach the matter with compassion and seek mercy from the UK government, while also calling on the diplomatic corps, particularly the United Nations, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, to assist Ekweremadu.
Dr. Bernard Oshi, the president of the group, commended President-elect Tinubu, Vice President-Elect Sen Kashim Shettima, and other elected officials while expressing hope for continued peace and prosperity in Nigeria.
