Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has highlighted the absence of Victor Osimhen as a significant loss for Napoli following their 1-0 defeat to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first-leg fixture on Wednesday.
Osimhen was unable to play due to a muscle injury, and Hargreaves believes that Napoli has struggled to replace the Nigerian forward, considering him as one of the club’s irreplaceable stars.

Speaking on BT Sport, Hargreaves emphasized that Napoli lacks the quality and depth seen in teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City, who have five or six players capable of stepping up in such situations. However, Osimhen is expected to be fit for the second leg at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium next Tuesday, giving Napoli hope to turn the tie around. In order to advance to the semi-finals, Napoli will need to score two goals without conceding against AC Milan.
