Anambra businessman, Mr Alexander Nwosu, also known as ‘Uyoo’, has been reportedly abducted by gunmen in Umuchu Community, Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. The incident occurred on Friday, while Nwosu was at home with his wife and children.
According to a family source named Ginikanwa, the assailants, numbering about 10 and wearing masks, forcefully gained entrance into Nwosu’s compound after shooting heavily into the air for several minutes.

They subsequently took him away in the presence of his family. Panic has spread throughout the community since the incident, and Nwosu’s wife has not been seen, with her phone line remaining unreachable.
The captors have allegedly demanded a ransom of N50 million from the family. As of the time of filing this report, attempts to reach the state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, for comment have been unsuccessful
