Senator Orji Kalu, the previous Governor of Abia State, has declared the demise of his first wife, Mrs Ifeoma Kalu, who passed away at the age of 61. In an official post on his social media page, the former governor and Chief Whip of the Senate described Ifeoma as a woman of high moral standards, who dedicated herself to the service of God and humanity.

Kalu expressed his deep sadness and conveyed that a memorial service for her will take place in the United States. He also requested the public to keep Mrs Ifeoma and her family in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.
