Chelsea Football Club is reportedly considering a transfer move for Lyon’s young defender Malo Gusto during the January transfer window as they aim to add competition for Reece James, who has a history of injuries. According to some reports, the 19-year-old French defender fits the club’s needs and the American owner Todd Boehly is willing to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
However, Lyon is said to be more interested in allowing the player to leave the club in the summer, and any potential deal would likely involve Chelsea paying a bit over the market value for the player.

Gusto is highly rated in France and at 19 years old, it is believed that he will continue to learn and grow while playing for Chelsea. The club’s goal is for him to provide solid competition for Reece James.
