Nollywood actress Empress Njamah has had a series of tumultuous relationships with men, which have frequently made headlines. One particularly notable incident occurred in 2009 when her ex-boyfriend and musician Timaya physically attacked her at a church in Lagos, demanding the keys to a car he claimed she had taken from his house without his permission. The altercation left several churchgoers injured and shocked, and Timaya was subsequently arrested for disturbing the peace.
Years later, Empress has found herself involved in another scandal involving her ex-boyfriend George Wade, who has been accused of sharing nude videos of the actress and blackmailing her. Empress and Wade broke up last year, and the actress has alleged that he physically assaulted her in the past. In response to these recent allegations, Empress’s colleague Uche Elendu has called for Wade’s arrest.

Empress’s experiences are similar to those of singer Tiwa Savage, who revealed in 2021 that she was being extorted over a leaked sex tape featuring her and her partner. These events suggest that Empress has not had luck in her relationships with men. In light of these challenges, she has chosen to focus on giving back to the community through her foundation, House of Empress.

Throughout her career, Empress has been known for her acting abilities, having made her debut in 1995. However, her personal life has frequently overshadowed her professional achievements. Despite the difficulties she has faced, Empress has remained resilient and has assured her fans that she is alive and well. She has expressed appreciation for the love and support of her fans, and has urged others who may be experiencing similar challenges to seek help and find the strength to move forward.
