Dr. David Oyedepo, Chancellor of Covenant University in Ota, Nigeria, has appealed to the federal government to invest more heavily in human capital in order to improve the nation’s standing.
Oyedepo stated that education is the most valuable and stable investment that any country can make, and that Nigeria’s poor investment in human capital has resulted in a loss of self-esteem.

He urged the government to create opportunities for young people to thrive within the country, rather than encouraging them to emigrate, and called on parents to educate their children about the importance of contributing to the rebuilding and restoration of Nigeria.
Oyedepo concluded by saying that every individual has a role to play in the recovery of their nation.
