Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, has been making waves in the political world recently with his powerful speeches and ambitious plans for the future of Nigeria. On Thursday, Tinubu took the opportunity to slam former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his recent endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Tinubu, who has a reputation for speaking his mind and not backing down from a fight, didn’t hold back in his criticism of Obasanjo. He argued that Obasanjo, who he claimed does not know the way, cannot show others the way. Tinubu went on to recall the actions of Obasanjo during his time as Lagos State Governor, saying “Obasanjo seized our salaries, local government monies. Do you call that person a good or a wicked man?” He went on to say, “So, if he says he endorsed somebody, is it not poison that he is giving to you? One who doesn’t know the way cannot show the way. He is endorsing Obi but he doesn’t know the road.”

Obasanjo

Despite the harsh words for Obasanjo, Tinubu used the opportunity to appeal to Nigerians to vote for him in the upcoming election. He assured them that he will bring prosperity, create jobs, and secure the country when elected. Tinubu pointed to his successful track record as governor of Lagos as evidence of his ability to lead the country, saying “I know how to perform. I did it in Lagos and I will do it in Nigeria.” He went on to lay out his plans for Edo State, promising to turn it into an economic hub, provide skills and support for small-scale industries, and turn “yahoo boys” into experts in the manufacturing and creation of chips.

Tinubu also emphasized the importance of security, saying “If you want security, elect me.” He went on to make a bold promise to voters, saying “If you say I should retire, you will retire knowledge, diamond and gold.” It’s clear that Tinubu is a candidate who is not afraid to speak his mind and make bold promises to the people of Nigeria.

In his remarks at the rally, former National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, also spoke highly of Tinubu and encouraged Edo residents to vote for him. He praised Tinubu’s track record and his instrumental role in the fight against a single-party system. It’s clear that Tinubu has the support of influential figures within his party, and with his ambitious plans and no-nonsense attitude, he is sure to be a formidable candidate in the upcoming election
