Enetho Destiny, a 21-year-old kidnap suspect, was apprehended in the Ila region of Osun state while in possession of a stolen bag of rice. During an interrogation at the Osun Amotekun Corps command in Osogbo, Destiny confessed to being involved in the kidnapping of three individuals in Edo state and stated that he had left the state in order to reunite with his family in Kwara state. He admitted to being part of a group that had kidnapped four people, and revealed that they would contact the families of their victims and demand money.

Destiny stated that he had arrived in Osun the previous morning and had been arrested that night after stealing the bag of rice from a farm. He had intended to sell the rice in order to fund his journey to Kwara. The commandant of the corps, Amitolu Shittu, confirmed that Destiny had been arrested in the bush with the bag of rice and was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for his presence there. Shittu added that efforts were underway to search the forest for any other potential suspects.
