Since the announcement of Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at Al Nassr, the Saudi Arabian football club has seen a tremendous increase in its Instagram following. Prior to Ronaldo’s arrival, Al Nassr had 800,000 followers on the platform, but in the three days following the announcement, the club gained an additional 5.7 million followers, bringing the total to 6.5 million and still counting. This means that the club gained 5.7 million new followers in just three days, a truly staggering increase. The post announcing Ronaldo’s signing has also become the club’s most liked post on Instagram, receiving over 31 million likes in three days.

Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram, with more than 500 million followers and one of the largest fan bases in sports history. His move to Al Nassr will reportedly see him earn a salary of €200 million per year, making him the highest paid footballer in the history of the game.
