Elon Musk

As part of his efforts to reduce costs, Elon Musk has reportedly implemented a number of cost-cutting measures at Twitter, including firing janitors at the company’s San Francisco headquarters and packing employees onto just two floors while shutting down four others. These measures have reportedly resulted in dirty bathrooms and persistent smells of leftover food and body odor in the office. Some employees have even resorted to bringing their own toilet paper to the office due to the absence of janitors to restock supplies.

In addition to these changes, the company has reportedly missed rent payments on its San Francisco offices and stopped paying rent entirely at its building in Seattle, where it now faces evictions. Twitter has also reportedly missed or delayed payments to some vendors, including account firm KPMG and benefits provider Carrot. Musk is said to be attempting to save a total of $500 million in non-labor expenses at the company.
